Resident Freshman Merit Scholarships
President’s Scholarship
Renewable – for a maximum of eight semesters or until the student receives a baccalaureate degree whichever comes first. Recipients must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.6 and complete twenty-four (24) credit hours during the two semesters of the academic year (12 hours each, fall and spring semesters), twenty (20) of which must be graded. We will review your standing for these requirements after the completion of your second, fourth, and sixth semester. (Recipients awarded prior to 2011/2012 are expected to maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.7 as indicated in their original award letters.) Full time enrollment (minimum of 12 hours) is required for disbursement this scholarship.
Utah Flagship Scholarship
Renewable – for a maximum of eight semesters or until the student receives a baccalaureate degree whichever comes first. Recipients must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.6 and complete twenty-four (24) credit hours during the two semesters of the academic year (12 hours each, fall and spring semesters), twenty (20) of which must be graded. Utah Academic Scholarship - (Formerly Partial Honors at Entrance)
Renewable – for a maximum of eight semesters or until the student receives a baccalaureate degree whichever comes first. Recipients must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.6 and complete twenty-four (24) credit hours during the two semesters of the academic year (12 hours each, fall and spring semesters), twenty (20) of which must be graded. Trustees

Recipients must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and complete twenty-four (24) credit hours during the two semesters of the academic year (12 hours each, fall and spring semesters), twenty (20) of which must be graded. Utah Academic Recognition Award (Formerly Cash at Entrance)

University of Utah Merit with Presidential Honors

U Tradition Award recipient must maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA, Heritage Scholarship recipients must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Recipients must complete twenty-four (24) credit hours during the two semesters of the academic year (12 hours each, fall and spring semesters), twenty (20) of which must be graded. We will review your standing for these requirements after the completion of your second, fourth, and sixth semester. Full time enrollment (minimum of 12 hours) is required for disbursement of any scholarship.
Transfer Scholarships
Resident Transfer Utah Flagship (Previously Honors At Entrance)
Renewable – for a maximum of four semesters or until the student receives a baccalaureate degree whichever comes first. Recipients must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.6 and complete twenty-four (24) credit hours during the two semesters of the academic year (12 hours each, fall and spring semesters), twenty (20) of which must be graded. Resident Transfer Achievement
